Yorkie Studs are what they call full-grown adult Male Yorkshire Terriers that are used or hired out to impregnate or artificially inseminate a full-grown female Yorkie.
Most breeders offer this service for a fee. Some charge as much as $1,500 and more depending on the lineage or champion background of stud.
Other breeders will stud out their Yorkie Male for the opportunity to choose a puppy from the litter after the puppies are weaned from their mother.
This is called getting the pick of the litter in exchange for studding out their Male Yorkie Stud.
Yorkie Studs can range in size from 2 lbs to 8 lbs but the prize studs are those that are smaller or are known for throwing large litters or have many champions in their pedigree.
